Using Our Comprehensive Safety Management System
Our mission is to save lives and reduce workplace injuries and illnesses. Your mission is to protect your workforce and profit from your business.
Together, we can help you profit from safety.
Workplace accidents are caused primarily because of human behavior. Worker behavior creates hazards as well as the injuries caused by hazards.
While it’s easy to focus on the hazards, worker behavior is a management issue.
Our comprehensive safety management system helps you manage the worker behavior that eliminates both physical hazards and unsafe acts.
We encourage you to invite us to be your on-site consultant for a day and give us an opportunity to work with your company. At no cost to you.
We tour your worksite to identify physical hazards. But we do not limit our service to noting hazards and advising how to meet OSHA safety standards.
We also help you develop a safety management system that educates employees to understand that their own behavior can be the worst hazard -- or their
greatest protection. The American worker, motivated by safety, can compete with the best in our global economy. Safety, therefore, is at the heart of
your profits.
Taking our consultation advice to heart can reduce the hazards and change the behaviors that cause accidents and injuries. This helps lower your costs
for workers’ comp and increases your profit potential.
We look forward to hearing from you. Click here to request an on-site consultation.

Byfield Marine Earns SHARP Award
Joe Cundiff, Assistant Program Director, USF SafetyFlorida, presents the SHARP flag and
award to Fred Byfield, President of Byfield
Marine. In support of Byfield Marine's rigorous emphasis on safety, warehouse
manager Keith Mauer has produced creative and user-friendly safety training
programs to promote job safety. He has also incorporated three-dimensional
illustrations into his written safety plan and DVD safety training programs to stimulate,
motivate and enhance the learning skills of Byfield employees.
Ask your USF SafetyFlorida consultant about SHARP, the OSHA Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program.
OSHA encourages employers to operate exemplary safety and health management systems. To reward such employers, OSHA allows those
who meet eligibility requirements to become exempt from OSHA inspections for a period of up to two years and then receive renewal
exemptions for up to three additional years. To learn how you can qualify for SHARP, the OSHA inspection exemption, call 1-866-273-1105.
