During his four years with the US Army, Mark inspected restaurants, living quarters, gyms, daycare centers and other facilities on behalf of the Army’s preventive medicine program.
After his honorable discharge in 2002, Mark worked for the next four and a half years for the Hillsborough County Health Department Safe Drinking water section. There, he inspected well systems that provided water to the public. Promoted to Enforcement Coordinator, he enforced the rules and standards of the Safe Drinking Water Act by applying fines and penalties to water systems in violation of the Act and the Florida Administrative Code.
In May 2007, Mark earned his MBA from University of Phoenix and became a safety and health consultant for USF SafetyFlorida.
