Pat Stark is a Safety and Health Consultant with USF SafetyFlorida, which is the OSHA consultation program, funded by OSHA and the State of Florida. It is a free safety and health consultation service.

About 20 years ago, Pat began his safety career as a safety coordinator. He then became safety director of the Opus South Company, a general contractor in Tampa. He has worked with Argonaut Insurance Company and the AGC Self-Insurance Fund in the capacity of Safety Management Consultant and as Loss Control Representative. He worked as the division safety manager of the Florida Division of Brice Building Company. And, he has worked with a steel fabrication, steel erection company as their safety director. He has been with USF SafetyFlorida since 2003.

During his career as a safety professional, Pat has surveyed hundreds of companies in varying industries and assisted them in forming or enhancing their safety and health management systems.

He has been active in the Central Florida Associated General Contractors Central Florida Chapter and is an active member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, Central Florida Chapter.

In 1994 Pat received the Construction Health and Safety Technician Certificate (CHST), which is accredited through the American Board of Industrial Hygiene and the Board of Certified Safety Professional Joint Committee. In October 2010, Pat received the Professional Certificate in General Industry, which is accredited through the USF OSHA Training Institute Education Center. Pat is an authorized trainer of the OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour General Industry and Construction Outreach sessions and has instructed and coordinated many of these courses during his career. Pat was the course chair and was instrumental in creating the USF OTI Fall Protection course.
